Duane L. Parker, 81, of Milan, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Anthony's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island. Services for Duane will be 1 pm, Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center, Milan.Duane was born on May 6, 1933 in Shannon, ILL., a son of Earl and Ella (Brinker) Parker. He married Mary Faught in 1959 in Celina, TN. Duane had worked for UPS for over 30 years. He had been a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge. Mr. Parker enjoyed golfing, gardening and model building. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include a son, Richard Parker, Colona; a step daughter, Debbie Ziemkowski, Burnham, ILL.; grandchildren, Bradley, Mike, Amanda and Kambree; great grandchildren, Austyn and Justin.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; son, Kevin Parker; step son, Tom Ziemkowski; great grandson, Zachary Wiesman; and a brother, Earl Parker. Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
