Dwain E. Wyant, 72, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday December 4, 2021 at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to service time at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Coal Valley Township Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the family

Dwain was born on October 2, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of H. Dwain and Barbara (Douglass) Wyant. He married Susan Hoffman on October 18, 1975 in the First Methodist Church, Rock Island.

Mr. Wyant was employed as a dispatcher with the former Redimix, currently River Stone Group. He later worked for Star, Ruan and Modern Trucking Companies as a driver.

He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Dwain always had a positive attitude and a funny joke to tell. He loved comedy movies, family history on Ancestry and antiquing. After retirement, he made daily visits to see his mother and step-father.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Andrea (Charles) Hanson, Lincoln, Nebraska, Melanie Rice (Eric Bradley), Rock Island; grandchildren, Alex Hanson (Kim Littell), Davenport, Noah Hanson, Ankeny, Iowa, Olivia Rice, Rock Island, Cassidy Hanson, Lincoln, Nebraska, Sophia Baugher, Rock Island; great grandson, Adam Hanson; step father, Reginald Dunbar, Coal Valley; a special uncle who was like a brother to him, Ed (Brenda) Christian, East Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
