Dwayne Nunn, 54, of Milan, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Second Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Dwayne was born in Louisville, Miss. on January 4, 1961, a son of Leonard and Sallie Mae Durn Nunn. Dwayne married Melissa DeDecker with whom he had two children. They later divorced. He married Corretta Montague on Nov. 23, 2013 in Rock Island.

Dwayne spent many years as a landscaper. He had most recently worked for HighPointe Lawns in Davenport.

Dwayne was a member at Second Baptist Church, Rock Island. He enjoyed singing in the Second Baptist Male Chorus, flower gardening and rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers. He also loved spending time with his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Corretta Nunn, Milan, Ill.; children, Bethany (Alvino) Carbajal and Jordan Nunn, both of Moline, Ill.; step-children, Jeriahmy Smith, Houston, Texas and Sharde Smith, Davenport, Iowa; the soon arriving grandson, Ezra Dwayne Carbajal; siblings, Lessie (Martha) Nunn, Milan, Ill., Roy (Dorothy) Nunn, East St. Louis, Ill., Leonard (Anita) Nunn, Rock Island, Ill., Pearlie (George Sr.) Adams, Milan, Ill., Sandra Fleming, Rock Island, Ill., James (Linda) Nunn, Rock Island, Ill., Travis (Lisa) Nunn, Moline, Ill., Patricia (Will) Allison, Rock Island, Ill., Michael Nunn and his fiancé, Kerri Brinkley, Davenport, Iowa, and Tina Nunn, Louisville, Miss.; sister-in-law, Christy Nunn, Florissant, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Bertha Combs and Margie Nell Nunn, and brother, Shelby Nunn.
