E. Jeanne Miller, 89, a resident of Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Hope Creek. Services for Jeanne will be 11 am, Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201-E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Jeanne was born on November 1, 1924 in Springfield, Missouri, a daughter of Roy and Fern Stone Galbraith. She married Donald Miller on March 18, 1949 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1981. Jeanne worked as a secretary at various companies in the Quad Cities. Later she and her husband owned and operated the Maid-Rite Diner on 16th street in Moline for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Dan Miller and his spouse, Kathy Lawhorn, Rock Island and Tim Miller and his spouse, Cindy, Rock Island; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald; and a brother, Roy "Gene" Galbraith. Online condolences may left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
