Eanner Miller Stitt, 86, Davenport, IA passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at MercyOne Genesis East Hospital in Davenport. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Eanner was born on March 10, 1940 to Joe and Enner (West) Miller in Carbondale, IL. She spent her early childhood in Carbondale before moving to the Quad Cities where she graduated from Moline High School. Eanner then attended Sharon Doran School of hair. In addition to career as a hair stylist, she also worked for farm implement companies. She started at John Deere and shortly after transferred to Caterpillar where she was employed until her retirement. Eanner then returned to Sharon Doran as an instructor, teaching until it sold to La’ James.
Eanner then moved to Chicago, IL where she was an active member of Living Word Christian Center. She also met her husband, GeHugh Stitt Jr. They were married in 1999 in Chicago and then moved to Alabama where they lived until his death in 2022. After GeHugh’s passing, Eanner returned to the Quad Cities to be near her family.
Eanner enjoyed traveling and shopping, and she had a special interest in cars. She especially liked attending drag races in Cordova with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Valerie (Kelly) Husemann, Kristyl Fleming, and Shaun Fleming; sisters, Leonia and Margarett Miller; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, GeHugh.
