Earl J. Meredith, 71, of East Moline, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Mr. Meredith will be 2 pm, Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.

Earl was born on January 14, 1944 in Rock Island, the son of George Meredith and Virginia Osborne Meredith. Mr. Meredith worked as a computer analyst at John Deere, Moline for over 30 years. He retired from John Deere in January of 2002. Earl enjoyed landscaping around his home, collecting art in the form of paintings and porcelains, and the company of his friends and family.

Survivors include his brother in law, Gale Anderson, Preemption; a niece, Deanna (Richard) Matthews, Davenport; a nephew, Mark (Crystal) Anderson, Matherville; great nieces and great nephews, Lindsay Matthews, Amanda Matthews, Walker Anderson, Holland Anderson and Nadia Anderson.
