Earl T. Weir, 87, of Milan, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Earl was born on February 24, 1928 in Rock Island the son of Earl T. Sr. and Ellen (Jennisch) Weir. He married Patsy Stout on June 3, 1950 in Illinois, she preceded him in death on January 11, 2006. Earl later married Betty Johnson on September 30, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Milan. He worked at Farmall Works in Rock Island before transferring to their International Harvester facility in Hinsdale, IL for 35 years as a wood pattern maker. After retiring from IH, he worked for General Motors for 10 years in Illinois and Indiana before retiring at age 65. Earl was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan and enjoyed singing in the church choir and participating in other various church activities and organizations. Earl enjoyed doing handy work around the house and doing maintenance work at the church.

Earl is survived by his wife, Betty Weir; children, Richard Weir, Milan, Deborah (Steve) Seyller, Southwick, MA, Kathleen (Adam) Watson, Fort White, FL, and Martha (Bryen) Ireland, Lincolnton, GA; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Kathryn Witter, Viola and Nancy Collins, South Elgin, IL; four step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by former spouse, Patsy Weir; parents; and sisters, Bernice Seal and Jean Gripp.
