Earlene J. Burke, 91, of Colona, passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
A funeral Mass will be held 11:00am, Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Bushnell Township Cemetery, Bushnell, IL. Memorials may be left to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Earlene was born on April 19, 1924 in Homer, KY., the daughter of Earl and Christine (Chick) Johnson. She married Louis Burke in September of 1944.
Earlene had been employed at John Deere Harvester for 30 years in the parts department.
She had been a active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Bettendorf and enjoyed visiting with friends.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Buffum; brother, Dennis Johnson; special friends, Julie and Ron Brenny, Fran and Ed Baker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Armstrong; a infant child; her parents; siblings, Judy, Sharon, Russell, James, Milton, Louie, Melvina, Valerie, Bobbie Jo, Danny and two infant siblings.
