Earnest W. Comstock, 87, of Aledo, passed away Friday February 2, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday February 6, 2018 Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, with military rites presented by VVA Chapter 299. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Aledo.

Earnest was born on August 2, 1930 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Earnest and Georgia(Kissel) Comstock. He has been married to Erlinda Villar for 37 years.

Mr. Comstock had been employed with John Deere and Company as an electrician until his retirement. Previously he had worked for MidAmerican as a lineman for 13 years.

Earnest was a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea.

He loved his cats and was a handyman able to fix anything around the house. He also volunteered to fix electric wheelchairs for disabled veterans and had raced motorcycles in his earlier years.

Survivors include his wife, Erlinda; 4 daughters and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley.
