IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earnest
Pannebaker
March 12, 1948 – January 18, 2025
Earnest F. Pannebaker, 76, of Milan, Illinois, passed away on January 18, 2025. Born on March 12, 1948, Earnest lived a life marked by faithfulness, family, and service to his community.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home in Milan, Illinois. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to service time.
Earnest was the devoted husband of KayEllen Pannebaker, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that reflects their enduring bond. He is survived by their three children: Elisabeth Kay Everhart (Tim), Rebecca Annebelle Kirchner (Bobby), and Timothy Earnest Pannebaker. His legacy continues through his grandchildren—Dustin, Kayla, Charity, Janelle, Andrew, TJ, and Brandon—and great-grandchildren—Jaxxon, Micah, Krysta, Karter, Jasmine, Jason, Levi, and Lily. He is also survived by his siblings—Garry, Bonnie, Sandy, Clare, Amymarie, and Jay. Earnie was preceded in death by his parents and other siblings.
A skilled tradesman and entrepreneur, Earnie owned and operated Earnie's Appliance Repair and Two Hearts Video in the Quad City Area. Known for his expertise and dependability, he became a trusted figure in his community. His generosity extended beyond his work; he selflessly wired two churches and often prepared meals for friends—acts that exemplified his kind and giving nature.
Earnie loved to entertain, loved to laugh, and loved to share anything he had. There is no way for us to know just how many young people enjoyed food and fellowship at the Pannebaker house across the years.
As a young man, Earnie attended Bible Missionary Institute. He worshipped with Trinity Bible Missionary Church in Milan and First Church of the Nazarene in Rock Island.
Earnie also enjoyed the camaraderie of many friendships formed at the Rock Island Senior Citizen Center. These connections brought joy to his later years.
Earnie's life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and family. His memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew him.
