Obituary
Eddie D. Hartley , 77, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday March 5, 2020 at St. Anthony's Nursing Home, Rock Island.
The family will host a celebration of life and service of remembrance at a later date.
Eddie was born February 16, 1943 in Crystal Springs, Miss., a son of Johnnie and Ola Mae Jones Hartley.
Surviving are his daughter, Lovette Weathersby, Rock Island; grandchildren, Timesha Weathersby, Teonna Greer and Caulutan Jefferson; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Nathan (Carol) Powell, Timothy (Rodena) Powell, Floyd Ray Powell and Earnest Powell, all of Gulfport, Miss.; sisters, Johnnie Ruth Cooper, Crystal Springs, Miss., Janie Ruth (Joe) King, and Brenda Evans, all of Gulfport, and Vivian Hartley, Crystal Springs, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews and additional family.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, mother, son, Victor, brother-in-law, J.W. Cooper, and "mother", Momma Joseph.
