Obituary

Edie Mae Hall, 74, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.

There will be a live-streamed private funeral broadcast at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, and may be viewed at wheelanpressly.com/live-stream. Visitation will be Monday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Those attending the visitation must wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines. Only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Edie was born on April 11, 1946 in Greenville, Alabama, a daughter of Tom Taylor and Eddie McDowell Taylor. She married Rudolph Hall on June 20, 1970 in Akron, Mississippi. Mrs. Hall worked at International Harvester Farmall Works, Rock Island. She was a member of Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Survivors include her husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Hall Sr.; children, Rudolph T. Hall Jr., Davenport and Tammy (Wilbert Jr.) Smith, Augusta, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Miles and Annette Pernell, Davenport, IA, Juanita Stelle, Cleveland, OH, Bernice McDowell and Andrew Thomas, Philadelphia, PA.

Edie was preceded in death by two children, Dana and Dion, her parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
