Edna K. "Kay" Erickson, 84, of Sherrard, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Graveside services for Mrs. Erickson will be held at a later date in the Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sherrard Community Presbyterian Church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.

Kay was born on April 4, 1931 in Richland Grove Township, a daughter of Anton and Elizabeth Haddick Engholm. She married William R. "Bill" Erickson on December 12, 1952 in Rock Island. Mrs. Erickson worked as a bookkeeper and proof operator at the Farmers State Bank, Sherrard for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of the Sherrard Community Presbyterian Church. Kay served as Past Deacon and Ruling Elder of the church. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Presbyterian Women and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; a brother in law and sister in law, Clarence and Donna Erickson, Reynolds and a sister in law, Mavis Erickson, Sherrard.
