Edward Baltzer, 91, of Sherrard, passed away Thursday June 8, 2023 at Gulf Breeze Hospital, Gulf Breeze, Florida. There will be a visitation from 9-11:00 AM with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Interment with military honors at the Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the family.

Edward was born on December 7, 1931 in Moline, the son of Edward and Mary (Daily) Baltzer. He married Phyllis Ullemeyer on January 29, 1958 in Lincoln, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 25, 1991.

Mr. Baltzer had been employed with the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Munitions Command for 33 years.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Those left to cherish his memory are daughters, Kristy Baltzer, Karen Keating, both of Florida; grandchildren, Daniel Keating, Florida and Andrea Keating, Louisiana; sister, Ardyth (Terry) Dawson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; parents, Edward Baltzer and Mary Bladel.
