Edward "Eddie" "Smokie" David Quinlin, 72, Rock Island, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 the way he wanted – in his underwear, in his favorite chair, in front of the TV. There will be a visitation to celebrate his life on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 4-7:00 PM at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. There will be a private burial at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Eddie was born on June 27, 1951 to Edward and Helen (Terrill) Quinlin in Moline, IL. He grew up in Milan and after high school, he started working in the trucking industry. Eddie worked the docks before getting his CDL. He spent the majority of his career at Roadway retiring after over 20 years.

Eddie enjoyed fishing but motorcycles were his favorite hobby. He loved spending as much time as he could on his Harley.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Dana Victoria; grandson, Tony Victoria; and sisters, Emmie (fiancé Richard Schmoll) Roberts and Christine (Rick) Parks; and his partner, Mary Vrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
