Edward J. Zaleski, 73, of Rock Island, passed away Friday December 1, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday December 9, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home. There will also be a Celebration of Life gathering held in the spring. Memorials may be left in Ed's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.

Edward was born on April 9, 1950 in Rock Island, the son of Joseph and Beverly (Meeder) Zaleski. He married Karla Morrison on September 5, 1981. Edward had served in the Illinois National Guard for six years.

Mr. Zaleski had been employed in the sales department with Dayco and Beck Arnley.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, golfing, was an avid Chicago White Sox and Bears fan, enjoyed watching the Three Stooges, fishing and boating.

Survivors include his wife, Karla Zaleski, Rock Island; son and daughter in law, Marc and Christal Zaleski, Rock Island; daughter, Jennifer, Indiana; grandchildren, Aaron, Mackenzie and Bryce; great grandchildren, Kylie and Liam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Beverly and grandson Edward E Zaleski.
