Eileen M. Kain, 95, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 10 to 11am Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the church. Burial will be in Saint Bonaventure Cemetery, Columbus, Nebraska at a later date.

Eileen was born November 7, 1927, to Theodore and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Schroeder. She married Calvin Kain and he preceded her in death. Eileen was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed reading and crafts.

Surviving: 1 brother, Elmer (Luella) Schroeder; sister-in-law, Louise Schroeder; nephews, Daniel (Susan) Egger, Richard (Susan) Egger, and Larry (Mary Ellen) Egger, and several other nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 4 sisters, Esther Egger, Lenore Parr, Lucille Kopetzky, and Clara Schroeder (infant); and 4 brothers, Walter Schroeder, Alvin Schroeder, Clarence Schroeder, and Victor Schroeder (infant); brothers-in-law, Walter Kopetzky, Alvin Parr, and Earl Egger.
