Elaine M. Mosher, 77, of Geneseo, formerly of Moline, passed away Tuesday January 7, 2025 at Allure of

Geneseo.

Private services will be in New Willimantic Cemetery at a later date.

Elaine was born on December 30, 1947 in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, the daughter Jesse and Rosie

(Smith) Wentz. She later moved to Connecticut, graduated from Windham High in 1966, raised two sons and married Darrell Mosher who was from Milan, Illinois, and latter relocated to Moline.

Mrs. Mosher had been employed at Rhythm City Casino as a cashier and had also worked at Liberty Tax

as a tax preparer.

Elaine loved traveling with her husband, bus trips to casinos and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in laws, Ted and Pam Laythe, Eastford, Connecticut, Chris and

Jennifer Laythe, Taylor Ridge, Illinois; grandchildren, Jennica Laythe, Alicia, Ashley, and Nick Ahnberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two older sisters and two brothers.
