Elberta Lynn Taylor-Thornton, 48, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 12 pm (Noon) at Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island, on Friday, March 29, 2019.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Elberta was born on December 18, 1970 in Moline, the daughter of Hosea Thornton and Deborah Mays.  She was a beloved mother of two children.  Elberta worked at AT&T for 16 years and was currently a customer service representative at Mid-American.  Elberta was an excellent cook.  She loved to cook and entertain for family and friends.  Elberta loved to read and shop, she was very fashionable.  She was a social butterfly.

Elberta is survived by her daughter, Alexis Taylor; her parents; sisters, Michaela and Kim; brothers, Haamid, Anthony and Henry Mays; grandchildren, Jaylen, DaNaeja, Tristian, and Armarion.  She was preceded in death by her son, DeMarco Thornton.
