Elinor M. McKnight, 90, of Milan, passed away Monday February 3, 2025 at Silver Cross Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Services for Elinor will be 10:00 AM Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Elinor was born February 20, 1934 in Milan, the daughter of John G. and Ruth (McConnell) Hahn. She married Joseph McKnight on July 29, 1956, in Milan. They were married for 67 years before his passing in April of 2024.

Mrs. McKnight had been with the Rock Island School District as a school nurse and secretary for 29 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Milan where she served as an elder and deacon. Elinor had also been active with Jolly Dollies Club and enjoyed genealogy.

Survivors include her sons, Kirk (Anita) McKnight, Milan, and Tim (Brenda) McKnight, Milan; grandchildren, Michael (Mandy) McKnight, Kellie McKnight, Sean (Kathy) McKnight, Megan Doane, and Nathan (Molly) McKnight; great grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Maddox, Ailbhe, Charli, Calvin, Lilly, and Decker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents, John and Ruth; and brother, John Hahn.
