Elizabeth DM. Geiger, 99, of Milan, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Avonlea Cottage, surrounded by love and care. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no public services. Elizabeth's inurnment will be held at the Holy Trinity Church in Tidworth, England, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved parents, George and Daisy Tarrant Cooke. Elizabeth, born on November 28, 1925, in London, England, was the cherished daughter of George and Daisy. On January 4, 1947, she married William F. Geiger, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family values. In her professional life, Elizabeth dedicated nearly a decade to Lucille's Pie Shop in Milan, where her warm spirit and strong work ethic shone through in all she did. Above all, she found her greatest joy in being a homemaker and raising her two sons, Jim and Paul. Family time was of utmost importance to Elizabeth, and she will be lovingly remembered for her unmatched devotion to those she held dear. She leaves behind her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Lisa Geiger and Paul and Kris Geiger, both of Milan, along with her cherished grandchildren: Luke, Cole, Stephanie, Casey, and Holly. Elizabeth's legacy will be carried on by her family, who will forever treasure the memories they shared. In addition to her husband and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Martin, and brother, Harry Cooke. For those wishing to honor Elizabeth's memory, memorial donations may be made in her name to the QC Animal Welfare Center in Milan. The Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Milan is assisting the family during this time of loss.
