Elizabeth A. Jackson, 70, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Rock Island.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth was born on October 17, 1947 in Selmer, TN, the daughter of Herman and Verneal (Barlow) Jackson.  She married Jesse Jackson in 1970 in Rock Island, he preceded her in death.  Elizabeth worked as a CNA at Friendship Manor for over 45 years, she was also a foster parent and child care provider.  She was an avid story book doll collector, and collected numerous other items as well.  Elizabeth loved music, yard sales, and thrift store shopping.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Trudy (Damond) Williams, Waterloo, IA, Darlene (Roderick) Crim, Crete, IL, Jessica Jackson, Rock Island, and Lediamonisha Jackson, Newton, IA; brother, Rev. Herman (Elizabeth) Jackson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons, Charles McCauley Jr. and Marcus Jackson Sr.; sisters, Edna and Jacqueline Jackson; and brother, Walter Jackson.
