Elizabeth M. "Betty" Benhart, 85, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home. Private graveside services for Mrs. Benhart will be Monday at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Betty was born on March 4, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of Howell and Rosie Schmidt Borden. She married Richard Soike in 1952. Later, Betty married Henry Benhart on June 30, 1971 in Anoka, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2000.  Betty was a homemaker, and raised her four children in the Quad Cities. Survivors include her children, Lynne (Larry) Arnoe, Clarksville, TN., Robert Soike, Rock Island, Jon (Rebecca) Soike, Bettendorf, and Glenn Soike, Little Elm, TX.; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Alice Kruta, New Brighton, MN.Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
