Elizabeth R. Mrazek, 91, of Rock Island, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Port Byron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26th at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a Christian wake service will be conducted at 4 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or to Alleman High School.

Elizabeth Ketter was born Dec. 17, 1923 in Fidelity, Kansas, a daughter of Henry and Adelaide Huerter Ketter. She married Joseph J. Mrazek on Aug. 7, 1947 in Wetmore, Kansas. He died April 16, 1989.

Elizabeth was a well known and respected dress maker working from her home for many years.

She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, its Funeral Choir, Adult Choir and Circle 4 of the Altar and Rosary Society. Elizabeth was also a member of the New Spirit Singers at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Edward McQuillan, Lisle, Ill., and Patrice and Bob Johannsen, Port Byron; son, Stephen Mrazek, Rock Island; grandchildren, Timothy (Dawn) McQuillan, Catherine (Jeff) Branca, and Michael (Carrie) McQuillan; great-grandchildren, Will and Ben Branca; sister, Catherine Foster, Tulsa, Ok.; and brother, Jerry Ketter, Sabetha, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; sons, James and Thomas Mrazek; and several brothers and sisters.
