Elizabeth (Liz) C. Quick, 88, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 1:30 pm, at Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory; visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Elizabeth Cynthia (Moore) Quick was born January 12, 1929, in Davenport, IA to the late William Robert Moore and Thelma Bynum Moore.  She married Rudolph G. Quick, Sr., on February 2, 1946 in Rock Island, IL.  She was affectionately called "Sweetie Pie" by her closest nieces.

Liz was raised in the Catholic Church.  She was an avid softball player in her younger years and was a member of many bowling leagues in the Quad Cities.  Liz was instrumental in bringing the Elite Temple #1265, I. B. P. O. E of W to fruition in Rock Island, IL.  Later, she became a member of the East Moline Temple.  She worked at various places throughout her life, including retiring from Seaford's Clothing, Rock Island, IL.  Liz enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Liz leaves behind to cherish her memory: Daughter, Mamie Williamson (James); Sons, Rudolph Quick, Jr. (Doris Valentine), Minnesota; Roy Quick (Lisa), Davenport, IA; and Dennis Quick, Rock Island, IL. Sisters-in-Law, Dixie (Quick) Tinsley, Barbara Moore, and Hazel Moore, Rock Island, IL; Grandchildren, Brittany Washington (Jacques), Justin "J" Wright, Marvin Taylor, Pamela Taylor, Rudolph Quick III (Ruby), and Dominique Quick; 25 Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her Husband; Daughters Freda Quick and Mary Quick; Grandson, Anthony Quick, both parents; Mother/Mother-in-Law, Flora (Quick) Burris; Brothers, Lavance, Robert, and Gail; and Sister, Pearline.
