Elizabeth "Betty" True, 91, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Park Vista, East Moline.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery – Mausoleum Chapel.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Cancer Society.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with services.

Betty was born on May 17, 1927 in Rock Island, the daughter of Eriane Weber.  She married Lawrence True, on January 31, 1947 in Rock Island.  She worked for Royal Neighbors and Service Rubber (Rock Island), she also volunteered for UPH-Trinity Hospitals.  Betty enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, walking with her neighbor Shirley, volleyball, tennis, doing crossword puzzles, reading and loved going to the boat with her son Robert.  She was extremely proud of her family and how close they were.  Betty was also very proud of her two sons and loved them very much.

Betty is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lawrence True, East Moline; sons, Robert (Sue) True, Hampton, IL and Richard (Janice) True, Silvis; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Thuren; brother, Wayne Weber; and great granddaughter, Autumn Marie True.
