Ella M. Brown, 74, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday October 29, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10am Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Ella was born on March 9, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Marion and Anna Lee Jones. She married Bert A. Brown on August 11, 1962.

Mrs. Brown had been employed as an in home care giver for several years.

She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Ella loved spending time with her family, decorating for holidays.

Survivors include her husband, Bert; son, Bert Brown II and Jessica McGuire), Rock Island; siblings, Violet, Donna, Bobby and Phil.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Bonnie and brother, Jessie.
