Elliott L. Seymour, 93, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016 at First United Presbyterian Church, 801 16th Street, Moline. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Elliott was born July 4, 1922 in Fairfax, MO, the son of John and Fern Seymour. He married Wanda Freeman on November 21, 1942. He was a production welder at John Deere Plow and Planter for 37 1/2 years, and also worked at First of America Bank maintenance for 11 1/2 years. Elliott enjoyed cars and pickups, old and new and spending time in the garage.

Elliott was a World War II vet serving in the South Pacific.

Elliott is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Richard) Koenig; grandchildren, Rich (Sheri) Koenig III, David (Katy) Koenig, Diantha (Bryan) Muck, and Audra Martin; and great grandchildren, Kurt, Ashley, Aric, and Oliver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; his parents; son, James Seymour; brother, Rufus Seymour; and sister, Leta.
