Esther E. (Neil) Kirk, 35, of Moline, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at her home.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Private services will be held Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a college fund established for Esther's daughter, Phaedra, Checks should be made out to Bright Directions.

Esther Elizabeth (Neil) Kirk was born in Iowa City, Iowa on August 19, 1980 to Dale and Mary (Oberlander) Neil.  After finishing high school in Rock Island, she completed her training to become a registered nurse.  She then worked in the Pediatric unit and SICU at Trinity West, Genesis Hospice in Bettendorf, and most recently with Quad City Endoscopy in Moline.  Esther was imaginative, creative, funny, bold, loud, and vibrant. She was always proudest of her daughter Phaedra.  She holds a very special place in many hearts.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Kirk, Coal Valley; daughter, Phaedra Chandler, Moline; stepchildren, Zachary and Anna Kirk; parents, Dale R. Neil, Mary J. Neil and Susan E. Stone, all of Rock Island; sister, Johanna (Frank) Nimeth, Valparaiso, Ind; and nephew, Frank J. Nimeth, Valparaiso.  She was preceded in death by an infant child.
