Eugene E. Johnson , 77, of Moline, Ill., passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

The family will host a celebration of Eugene's life at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, Ill., assisted the family with arrangements.

Eugene was born February 7, 1943 in Moline, a son of Edward and Dorothy Lawrick Johnson. He graduated from Moline High School, and later from Augustana College, Rock Island. He was married for a time to Linda Victor.

He was an Industrial Engineer for International Harvester and also in Wisconsin for several years. He retired in 2000.

Surviving are his sons, Tim (Lynn) Johnson, of Muscatine, Iowa, Paul Johnson, Lamoni, Iowa, Pete Johnson (Megan Linzy) and Joel Johnson, all of Davenport, Iowa; significant other, Judith Durbin, Moline; and two nieces, Nina Johnson and Zina Karstez.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; and his brother, Glenn Johnson.
