Eula Mae Hansen, 90, of Silvis, formerly of Sherrard, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, with visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Quad-City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.Eula was born October 8, 1923 in rural Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Edna (Beswick) Brown. She attended schools in Mercer County, Milan & Monmouth, Illinois.
She married Harold "Red" Tatman on June 14, 1941 in Canton, Missouri. She later married James Hansen on November 26, 1958 in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2000.
She had been employed at J.C. Penney, Pullen's Market and Miller's Market in Monmouth, Curry's Restaurant, Regalia Manufacturing in Rock Island, New York Store, Moline in the 1950's, and Coach House, South Park, Moline in 1980.
She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America and AARP and a former member of the Women of the Moose in Galesburg and Aledo.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie (Ron) Kramer, Taylor Ridge; a son, Timothy Hansen, Davenport, Iowa; a stepson, Donald Hansen; granddaughters, Tammy Kramer, Marietta, Georgia, Kimberly (Rob) Colson, Sherrard, Reba Hansen, Ohio; grandsons, J.R. and Robert Hansen, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kyle Colson (Katlyn Parsons), Moline, and Taylor Colson, Sherrard; step grandchildren, Donald Hansen and Kimberly (Hansen) Minnery, Sunrise, Florida; step brother-in-law, Lane Dixon, Aledo; a special niece, Doris (Brown) Cote, Spooner, Wisconsin; step nieces, Elane (Bill) Firestone and Kathy Bigham, Aledo; and nephew, Ken (Joan) Bobb, Aurora, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents; brothers, Forrest and Orrin Brown; niece Donna (Brown) Sass; nephews, Dale and Dean Brown; stepsister, Mary Etta Dixon; and grandson, Kevin Paul Kramer.
