Eva was born October 29, 1929, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Alton and Beatrice (Hibbs) Crutcher. She graduated from Joy High School and married John “Bob” R. Bull on December 19, 1948, at Antioch Baptist Church in Reynolds, Illinois. Bob preceded her in death on October 15, 2014.
Eva was a devoted homemaker and a hardworking farmer’s wife who took great pride in caring for her family, home, and farm. She tended a large garden, raised chickens, and helped Bob in the fields. In her free time, she enjoyed putting together puzzles and knitting, proudly creating 200 afghans. Eva was also well known for her homemade pies. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church in Marston, Illinois.
Those left to cherish Eva’s memory include her daughter, Sheryl Bull; her sister, Doris Retherford; her sisters-in-law, Sherry Crutcher and Jan Crutcher; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Wilma Townley, Kathryn Strosahl, Shirley Kuchenmeister, Denzil Crutcher, Dollie Gobble, and Kenny Crutcher.
