Evalyne J. Wise, 91, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Visitation is 10:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Inurnment will be later at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Evalyne was born Dec. 28, 1922 in Paris, Ill., a daughter of Eugene and Eleanore Eden Hooker. She married Donald R. Wise, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1975.

She worked in the food service profession, first with the Canteen Corp. at the John Deere Foundry, East Moline and later in the food court at SouthPark Mall, Moline.

Evalyne was a member of First Lutheran Church, Rock Island, Moline Moose Lodge and the Viking Club, Moline.

Survivors include her son, Donald E. Wise, Rock Island and grandson, Corey Mann, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Marjorie Ulman and Carrie Akers; and brothers, Paul Hoover and Dale Hooker.
