Evelyn M. Hahn,92, of Rock Island, formerly of Milan, passed away Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Entombment will be at Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to LightBridge Hospice Foundation, San Diego, CA.

Evelyn was born April 16, 1924 in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, a daughter of LeRoy and Esther Pieper Drummond. She married Louis M. Hahn on September 6, 1944 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2002.

In earlier years, Evelyn worked at Servus Rubber and during World War II was a drill press operator at the Rock Island Arsenal. She retired from Moline Public Hospital.

She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Evelyn and Louis were honorary citizens of Boystown. They enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables, and traveling. She also enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos.

Surviving are her son, Greg Hahn, San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Diane Hahn, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jennifer and Joel Hahn; great-granddaughter, Kamryn; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael Hahn; infant daughter, Marlene Hahn; and ten siblings.
