Evelyn M. Krebs, 93, of Milan, passed away Saturday August 6, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to First Presbyterian Church Building and Maintenance Fund.

Evelyn was born on May 13, 1929 in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of H.A. and Gertrude (Staffeldt) Priegnitz. She married Ray Barkau in 1948 in Naperville. She later married Harry S. "Jack" Krebs on May 23, 1970 in Milan.

Evelyn had been a homemaker, staying home to raise their children. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan, where she enjoyed many church friendships. Evelyn and Jack were a great partnership, they both enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, needlework, puzzles, cross stitch quilting for her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Marc) Johnson, Little Rock, Arkansas, Dennis (Diana) Barkau, Denver, Iowa, Michael (Ilene) Barkau, Macedon, New York and Linn (Kay) Krebs, Colona; grandchildren, Eric Barkau, Timothy Krebs, Jeffery Barkau, Nathan Krebs, Cheryl Hayes, Gregory Barkau, Melissa Walker, Erin Linderman, Christopher Johnson and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents and two brothers.
