Faye C. Amidon, 76, of Edgington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2018 with family by her side at home.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 801 W. Edgington St., Reynolds.  Graveside services will be held in Edgington Cemetery at 12 Noon on Friday.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Faye was born on October 7, 1941 in Dixon, a daughter of Frank and Dorothy Burhart McCann.  She married Richard Amidon on November 12, 1959 in Illinois City.  Faye was a homemaker for her husband and 3 children.  She also spent many years as a Cook for the Rockridge School District at Taylor Ridge Grade School.  Faye enjoyed reading, gardening and attending her grandchildren's activities.  She loved her family and all of the time she was able to spend with them.

Left to cherish Faye's memory are her husband, Richard; children, Bryon (Jeanette) Amidon, Andalusia, Brent (Laura) Amidon, Mt. Pulaski, IL and Chris (Tom) Verschoore, Taylor Ridge; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Matthew, Vanessa and Jonah; siblings, Mildred, Richard, Tom, Daniel; special friend, Caroline Barlang and many other loving family members and friends.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Vivian, James, Violet, Mary, Donald, Earlene, Gerald and Dorothy (in infancy)
