Felipa D. Dominguez, 63, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Spanish Mennonite Church – Templo de Alabanza, 613 3rd Street, Moline.  Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Felipa was born in San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico on February 5, 1956, a daughter of Gregorio and Rosa Hernandez Lopez.  She married Guillermo Dominguez Sr. on July 22, 1974 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

Felipa was a member of the AFSCME Council 31 and worked over 20 years at the Rock Island County Health Department.  Following her retirement, she enjoyed going to monthly luncheons with colleagues.

Felipa was an active member of the Spanish Mennonite Church – Templo de Alabanza, Moline.  She loved cooking, helping others and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Guillermo Dominguez Sr., Rock Island; children (and spouses), Nancy (Mark Jr.) Meyer, Riverdale, Iowa and Guillermo (Anna) Dominguez Jr. and Alberto Absalon (Natasha) Dominguez, both of Rock Island; honorary daughter, Tina Donatsch, Eldridge, Iowa; grandchildren, Elijah, Leticia, Guillermo III, Natalia, Bianca, Adrian, Sophia and Jasmine; siblings, Esther Fabian, Chicago, Benjamin (Maria) Lopez, Fox River Grove, Ill., Teresa (Mario) Perez, Chicago and Ismael (Juany) Lopez, Mexico; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carlos Lopez.
