Frances M. Gregory, 93, of Fayette, Iowa, formerly of Milan, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette.Private graveside services are Tuesday at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Frances Porter was born Jan. 18, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of John and Zeona Watson Porter. She married Carroll Gregory on July 27, 1940 in Des Moines. He died Jan. 24, 2011.

She had worked as a bookkeeper at Bituminous Insurance Co., Rock Island.

Frances attended First Presbyterian Church, Milan and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim Janecke, Fayette; son, Steve Gregory, Milan; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll; sister, Mary Long; and brothers, Bob and Mead Porter.
