Frances Scott, 73 of Rock Island, IL passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Services will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Progressive Baptist Church,

1302 E. 12th Street, Davenport IA. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM with services following at 12:00PM. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.  Frances was born on March 13, 1944 in Homer, LA to the union of Tommie Scott and Jewel Gryder. Frances moved to Rock Island in 1954 with her family and attended Central Jr. High and Rock Island High graduating in June 1961. Frances attended University of Wisconsin, AIC School of Business, Mary Crest College, Black Hawk College and Western. She was employed at Alcoa for 5 years and John Deere for 15 years. She also enjoyed working at Skip-A-Long Day Care and Project Now for 8 years. Frances was united in Holy Matrimony on March 13, 1976 to Jimmy Jackson. She enjoyed reading, dancing, cleaning, bicycling, and listening to music.  She was a member of Progressive Baptist Church and also worshipped at Olivet Baptist in Rock Island and Trinity Community Baptist Moline IL. She leaves to cherish her memory, son Perrell T. Patton, grandchildren Tayea Foulks,

Tavia Hester, great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends and a special nephew Jaime Scott, Colorado Springs, Co. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Jackson, and all of her siblings - two sisters Gracie (Scott) Taylor and Lena (Scott) Hill, brothers Tommie Lee, Henry, Eddie, Freddie, and Sam Scott.
