Obituary

Francis C. Cullor, 78, of Coal Valley, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial mass will be 11 am, Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Inurnment will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by a combined color guard of the Orion American Legion Post 255 and the VFW Post 143. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Francis was born on July 22, 1945, in Unionville, Missouri, a son of Rex and Vivian (Minear) Cullor. He married Judy Dahlberg. Francis later married Carol Zobrist on May 22, 1970, in Moline. He was a welder at John Deere Seeding for 35 years, retiring on January 1, 1999. He was a member St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, Orion American Legion Post No. 255, and UAW Local No. 434. Mr. Cullor enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Francis was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Alan (Pam) Cullor, Moline, Aaron Cullor, Moline, Andrew Cullor, Colona, and Stephanie (Mark) Moore, Rock Island; grandchildren, Melissa, Meghin, Abby, Austin, Gabrielle, Cody, Emilee, Blaine, Brant, Grace, and Morgan; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Rose (Ed) Shelton, Kentucky. Francis was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Drake Long; and brothers, Rex Cullor, and Jack Cullor.
