Frank LeRoy Guthrie, 78, of Moline, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island with his loving wife of over 36 years at his side.  Per his wishes, cremation will be accorded.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Frank was born August 4, 1942 in Rock Island, a son of Frank and Isabel N. (Wheeler) Guthrie.  He married Denise Thompson at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Frank worked as a Chief Design Engineer at Farmall before its closure.  Frank served in the Marine Corps. A true mister fix it and jack of all trades. He loved spending time with his family, Blues music, Mississippi Valley Blues Society, Prairie Dog Blues Festival, camping, cooking and the Chicago Cubs. Frank was a longtime member of the Rock Island Conservation Club.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Denise; children, Theresa (Tim) Kinley, Todd Guthrie, Tara (Brian) Loomis, Troy Licht and Tanya (Jeremy) Mattingly; sister, Ann Nelson; grandchildren, Connor Mattingly, Lucas Mattingly, Ashton Licht, Tyler (Lindsay) Kinley, Troy (Wendy) Kinley, Dillon Guthrie, Tia (Ryan) Vielgut, Mathias (Jerilyn) Guthrie, Nicholas Loomis, Connor Loomis, Irelyn Loomis and Sean Loomis. Great Grandchildren; Evelyn and Cole Kinley, Owen and Tova Kinley, Delilah Vielgut, and Mathias Guthrie Jr. along with many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Guthrie; son, Sean Guthrie; daughter, Tammy Johnson and nephew, Anthony Hayes.
