Frank E. McGee, 78, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Services for Mr. McGee will be 11 am, Tuesday at Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Monday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Frank was born on June 27, 1939 in Coldwater, Mississippi, a son of L.A. McGee and Ruthie Mae Jamieson McGee. He married Jean Harris on November 15, 1964 in Memphis, Tennessee. Frank worked as an assembler at John Deere Plow and Planter Works, Moline. He retired from John Deere in 1995. He also worked at the Greater Quad City Auctions in Milan. Frank was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island. He enjoyed fishing and old cars. Survivors include his wife, Jean; sons, Craig E. (Cynthia) McGee, Rock Island, Anthony McGee, Rock Island, Terry L. McGee, Rock Island, Cedric A. (Michele) McGee, Rock Island; four grandchildren; and one great grandson. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.
