Freddie W. Davis, 66, of Davenport, passed away Saturday August 5, 2017 at Generations Nursing Center, Rock Island.

Graveside services will be 11:30am Monday in Rock Island National Cemetery, with Military Honors by the United States Army. Those wishing to attend should meet at 10:30am Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.

Freddie was born on June 8, 1951 in Crawfordville, Arkansas. He married Bennie Cunningham on December 10, 1971 in Arkansas.

Mr. Davis was retired from the United States Army, After his military service he was employed at Palmer College, Midwest Janitorial and the Salvation Army.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bennie; daughter, Sheila Davis,Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Flumo Massyan Blamah Jr., Shayla Marie Davis Ross; great grandchildren, Jonathon Thomas Ross; sisters, Eva Hampton Davis, Josethme Davis Johnson, Betty Davis Johnson, Christine Davis Manning; brother, Theodis Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; son, Frederick Davis; brothers, James Brown, Harman Davis and Leo Davis.
