Frederick Parker Patton, 94, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 at his home.  Services will be private.

Fred was born in Mason City, Iowa, to Joe and Margaret Hubanks Patton.  He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II.  After graduation from the University of Iowa College of Law, Fred moved to Rock Island.  He was a retired Illinois Circuit Court Judge.  Fred had a lifelong passion for boating, sailing and traveling.

He is survived by daughters, Mary Jo (Kent) Boynton and Molly Patton; sons, Strib (Darlene) Boynton and Lance Patton; brother, Joe Patton; six grandchildren, Abigail Grafton, Benjamin Grafton, Scott (Amy) Patton, Haley Patton, Matthew (Victoria) Boynton, Adam Boynton; and a great granddaughter, Penny.  Fred was preceded in death by his much loved wife, Norma; and grandson, Joseph Daniel Boynton.
