Garrett A. George, 30, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 near Iowa City as a result of a traffic accident. Services for Garrett will be 10 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be established at a later date.

Garrett was born on October 11, 1986 in Rock Island, a son of Jeffery and Tammie Winn George. Mr. George was truck driver for Statewide Tire Distributors, Rock Island. He enjoyed bowling, softball, Frisbee golf and being outdoors. Garrett  was a avid Chicago Cubs fan and dart player. He loved his dart and bowling families and had a brief Hollywood career as a extra in the motion picture, "Sugar".

Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Tammie George, Rock Island; step daughter, Lilly Anderson, Rock Island; special friend Abbi Staples, Colona; siblings, Clayton (Ashley) George, Naperville, Cullen George (Victoria Garcia), Rock Island, Xander George, Wade Allen George and Wyatt George all of Rock Island; nephews, Caiden and Sutton George, Naperville; grandparents, Don and Rose George, Tavares, Florida; aunts and uncles, Derald and Malia Winn, Tim and Sally Winn, Jim and Donna Winn, Jennie and Brad Johnson, Mike and Kathy George, Tim and Jenny George and Andrew George (Mark Oesch); and his many cousins that he loved dearly.
