Gary L. Allen, 74, of Milan, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2815 W. 3rd St., Coal Valley, IL.  Per Gary's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Coal Valley.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting family with arrangements.

Gary was born on July 3, 1943 in Detroit, MI, the son of Harold and June (Bonnett) Allen.  He married Debby Petricek on June 6, 1975 in Downers Grove, IL.  Gary was employed as a salesman traveling throughout the country selling floral supplies.  Prior to being a salesman he worked for Bonnett Wholesale Florist Inc.  Gary enjoyed trains and refereeing soccer games.

Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debby Allen; son, Mark (Debbie) Margison Allen; grandson, Sebastian Margison Allen; and brother, Kevin Allen.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew Allen.
