Gary R. Willits, 73, of East Moline passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Allure of Moline.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 17th at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Silvis. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Gary was born on July 28, 1949 in Mercer County, a son Purn and Effie (Kenney) Willits. He worked as a truck driver for many years, most recently for Hummer. His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Travis (Megan) Willits, Davenport; grandchildren, Chad Henry, Damian Henry, Kobe Willits, Isabel Kelly, Ainsley Kelly, and Tyler Willits; sister, Ella Jump, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry, Curtis, Chester, and Richard Willits; and sisters, Wanda Atkins, Shirley Maynard, and Mary Kay Collins.
