George Edward Yarrington, son of the late Max D. and Ruby Cochran Yarrington was born on February 17, 1943 in Keoukuk, Iowa.  He departed this life on December 14, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 27 days.  Services have been held and burial was at Combs Cemetery in Melboure, AR.  He spent his life as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  During his working years, George was employed by several fabricating factories in the Davenport, Iowa and Rock Island, IL area.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Yarrington of Calico Rock; grandson, Donta Linzie of Batesville; great grandson, Tyrone Linzie of Batesville; sister, Doris Brasmer of Milan, IL; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara McGurie and brothers, Allen Yarrington and Richard Yarrington.
