Georgia L. Youngs, 79, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2014 at her home.
Services will be 10:00 Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 -5:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Rockridge Schools Foundation.
Georgia was born on October 22, 1934 in Rock Island the daughter of Benjamin H. and Leona E. (Shumate) Cutler. She married Jack H. Youngs on March 7, 1955 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Mrs. Youngs had been employed as a teacher at Rockridge School District for 36 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed cross stitch, reading and watching her grandchildren's sports and music events.
Survivors include her children, Joel (Janet) Youngs, Taylor Ridge, Jeffrey(Ruth) Youngs, Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Jessica(Derek) Zabransky, Joshua(Kathleen) Youngs, Jennifer Youngs, Ryan(Abbie) Youngs, Maison Youngs, Grace Youngs; great grandchildren, Lydia Zabransky and Jonathan Youngs; siblings, Carolyn Smith, AZ and Benjamin Cutler, WA.
