Gerald Richard Allen Brooking, 44, of Moline, formerly of Oregon, passed away Monday August 4, 2025 at his home in Moline.

Gerald was born on February 15, 1981 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the son of Kenneth Wayne and Lorraine Greene (Durand) Brooking.

He married Ashley Adams on July 23, 2003 in Cobett, Oregon. Through this marriage he they had four children, Dominic, Andrew, Dylan and Raymond. He later was joined together with Julie Voelcker and together they had a daughter, Abigail.

Gerald had been employed as a mechanic and later as a manager with an automobile service center.

He loved being outdoors, fishing, rock hounding, drawing, shooting and the Pacific Ocean.

He is survived by his step father, Steven Atkins; children, Dominic, Andrew, Dylan, Raymond and Abigail; grandchildren, Jaymeson, Izayah and Calvyn; girlfriend, Julie Voelcker; sisters, Christine Falk, Amber Atkins; brothers, Chris Brooking and Bryan Durand.

He was preceded in death his mother, Lori Atkins.
